Bruce Botnick, the bandâs longtime engineer and mixer, created the immersive mixes, âWith Atmos, having loudspeakers on the ceiling allows âRiders On The Stormâ to come alive with rain and thunder, and on âHorse Latitudes,â it highlights the theatrical claustrophobia of Jimâs poetry.â
Spanning 1967 to 1971, the setâs six albums trace The Doorsâ evolution from the chart-topping single âLight My Fireâ to the gritty blues of L.A. Woman. In just five years, the band pushed the boundaries of rock with its poetic lyricism and adventurous arrangements.
